Sustainable Development Goals Contributed

The UN SDGs provide a framework that defines globally accepted common goals in the field of sustainability. The SDGs create a broad sustainability agenda covering environmental, social, and economic dimensions, providing a common reference point for institutions and organizations. Ziraat Bank addresses the SDGs within the scope of the Bank's areas of activity and service cycle and evaluates them within this framework. The work to align with the SDGs is carried out taking into account the Bank's environmental and social impact areas and is addressed on the basis of products, services, and processes.

Ziraat Bank attaches importance to internal communication and employee participation in order to support the adoption of the SDGs at the corporate level. In this context, information and training activities are carried out for employees, and the relevant units are involved in the process. As a result of its assessments, taking into account the environmental and social impacts arising from its activities, the Bank has determined that it contributes directly to 9 SDGs and indirectly to 5 SDGs within the scope of its service cycle. The relevant SDGs and sub-targets are reported in relation to the Bank's activities.
