Value for Our Stakeholders: Sustainable Stakeholder Engagement
Supplier Relationship Management
Extensive Supplier Network
Ziraat Bank conducts its relationships with suppliers as business partners based on the principles of mutual respect, responsibility, and fair sharing, and supports the success of its suppliers through the projects it implements.
The procurement management processes carried out by the Procurement and Service Management Department utilize the Corporate Expense Management Module developed within Ziraat Technology. Within the scope of the process, suitable suppliers are identified and included in the supplier pool, taking into account the nature of the need.
In the selection of suppliers, the following factors are taken into account: the suppliers' past performance (if any), financial structure, management profiles, field of activity and location, market position, references, reliability, delivery capabilities, environmental policies and practices, as well as documents related to the technical competence, service quality, and quality management systems (such as ISO) requested by the business units.
The Bank may audit suppliers with whom it has a business relationship through field visits when deemed necessary to observe them on site and verify the accuracy of the information provided. It may also utilize independent audit organizations in these processes.
Suppliers are evaluated on an annual basis. Evaluations are based on compliance with specifications and contracts, delivery performance, product and service quality, and after-sales services. Ziraat Bank contributes to supporting the local economy by prioritizing local service and product providers in its procurement processes.
Supplier Distribution
As of 2025, the majority of the Bank's supplier portfolio consists of local suppliers. In this context, 99% of all suppliers are local suppliers.
When examining the geographical distribution of local suppliers, 65% operate in the Marmara Region, 30% in the Central Anatolia Region, and the remaining 5% are located in other regions.
Foreign suppliers, on the other hand, have a limited share. Approximately 60% are based in Europe and 25% in the US. The remaining foreign suppliers operate in various geographical regions. This structure reflects the Bank's approach to supporting the local economy.
Supplier Management Processes
The Bank evaluates its suppliers on an annual basis, and this period can be flexibly adjusted if necessary or for transactions with special characteristics.
Supplier evaluations are based on criteria such as compliance with specifications and contracts, adherence to delivery times and quantities, support provided for after-sales services, and willingness to work with the same supplier again. These evaluations are used to monitor supplier performance and strengthen sustainable business relationships.
